LowMail

A light e-mail client for your own mail server.

LowMail webmail with the folder tree, the message list and an open message.

Speaks IMAP, SMTP and ManageSieve to any mail server. On the desktop, on Android and in the browser, where it replaces Roundcube without changing anything on the server.

Why I recommend it

If you run your own mail server, it swaps Roundcube for something light without touching the server.

What it does

  • New mail through IMAP IDLE, with notifications
  • Sieve filters and vacation auto-reply
  • Webmail as one binary or one container
  • Several accounts on the desktop, passwords in the OS keychain

My role

I contribute to its development and use it daily.
